Professional Referrals

Professional Referrals

There are several ways that you can make a professional referral to us, depending on which services you require.

Voice

You can make a professional referral into Voice for anyone who has been victim or witness of crime. We offer practical and emotional support for all crime types.

If you feel that somebody that you are working with would benefit from our support you can submit a referral to us with their consent. Once we have received your referral, we will review this and make contact with you if we require any further information.

Our team will make contact with the person and complete an assessment around their support needs.

Northamptonshire MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference)

Referrals made to MARAC are assessed as being at high risk of significant harm and domestic homicide, scoring 14+ on the DASH or by professional judgement.

If you wish to refer a case to MARAC, following submission of your referral this will be reviewed by the Sunflower Centre.  They will make contact with you if they require any further information and will update you with the outcome of your referral.

A referral to MARAC should not delay any action being taken by individual agencies to safeguard the victim, their children and any dependents as well as the wider public. The responsibility to take appropriate action rests with the individual agency. This includes reporting to the Police where there is a disclosure of crime. Safeguarding responsibilities are not transferred to MARAC or the Sunflower Centre by completion of referral.
